Surface Mount Technician- Waterlooville
Are you skilled in operating and maintaining SMT equipment? Are you adept at working with fine pitch components? Our client, an organisation specialising in electronics manufacturing, is seeking a Surface Mount Technician to join their team. This is a temporary-to-permanent role with negotiable salary, offering an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain SMT Pick & Place machines, ensuring adherence to strict health and safety guidelines.
- Use screen-printing machines for efficient operations.
- Programme and set up P&P machines for optimal performance.
- Programme and maintain reflow ovens.
- Perform PCB assembly, including SMT and PTH soldering.
- Carry out cable assembly using crimp tools.
- Engage in electromechanical assembly.
- Work from customer BOM's and drawings to ensure manufacturing meets required standards.
- Conduct PCBA rework as needed.
Experience / Skills / Qualifications:
- Essential ability to operate Pick & Place machines.
- Off-line programming experience with P&P machines (Juki etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent component recognition and knowledge.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
