Part-time HR Officer

  • Part Time 18.5 hours a week
  • £17.59 per hour (£33,945 (pay award pending)
  • Location: Norwich
  • Temporary for 3 months but likely to be extended and could become permanent

We are seeking a dedicated HR Officer to join our team on a temporary basis, with the duration of up to 3 months but likely to be longer. This role is integral in supporting the company, and will work closely with the HR Business Partner to manage a variety of HR responsibilities.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage a caseload and provide training, support, and advice to managers on absence, health, conduct, and capability cases.
  • Draft and review HR policies and procedures.
  • Undertake project work, including a policy framework refresh, introducing a new ERP system, and replacing our AskHR knowledge base & FAQ website.
  • Build trust and work collaboratively to support the achievement of company objectives.
  • Deliver appropriate outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, and employment legislation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Experience in managing casework such as absence management, discipline, and grievances.
  • Qualified to or studying for intermediate or advanced CIPD accreditation.
  • Excellent IT, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in dispute resolution.
  • Experienced in training and supporting managers.
  • Ability to provide comprehensive HR support in all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
