Shipping Officer (Hybrid working, 3 days office, 2 days at home)
- Responsible for planning and coordinating international shipments of raw material and finished goods with approved freight forwarders, in accordance with the Shipping forecast and Business requirements
- Raise shipping documentation in line with Customer and destination country requirements
- Update the shipping planner on receipt of confirmed movement details
- Obtain and verify freight quotes for air, ocean, land freight and air charters from approved vendors
- Coordinate and issue Customs Clearance forms for imports and follow up on receipting customs documentation from freight forwarder and couriers to ensure compliance with audit requirements
- Review and confirm Letters of Credit are workable
- Check and present documents in accordance with Letters of Credit requirements
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Customer Delivery Managers, Sales, Commercial and all other stakeholders as required
- Support departmental and factory meetings as required
- Review and approve supplier invoices
- Ensure the Business is Importing and Exporting in accordance with UK Legislation
