Business Development Manager

Reed have partnered with a leading service provider in Bristol to appoint a Business Development Manager.

This role is a mix of field and office work, with the successful candidate being out on the road as well as based out of the commercial office in Bristol. The focus is on expanding the business from integrated waste management services to include soft facilities management services over the next 2-3 years.

The Business Development Manager will be crucial in building a robust sales pipeline and driving growth in line with our commercial budget.

Annual Salary: £38,000 + OTE of an extra £2k per quarter for the first year, can earn more as is uncapped + company car or car allowance

Day to Day of the role:

  • Lead and implement sales initiatives to attract new customers and support the retention and growth of current customers.
  • Drive sales expansion into integrated services, providing waste management and soft facilities management services.
  • Develop and implement capture plans and key account plans for new customers to promote profitable business growth.
  • Prepare, produce, and present service solutions via proposals, costings, digital and other methods.
  • Establish and deliver a robust sales funnel of opportunities in line with business plans and strategy.
  • Generate high-quality leads using modern digital, social sales, and telesales methods and tools.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Growth Marketing Manager to develop sales plans and market research.
  • Contribute to the development of communications collateral and utilise an integrated approach to digital and social media.
  • Produce reports, presentations, and lead or attend business meetings as directed.

Requirements:

  • High-quality IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, cloud-based CRM, digital marketing, and social selling applications.
  • Experience with social and network selling methods using B2B platforms such as LinkedIn.
  • Several years of experience in the integrated facilities management service or waste management sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets using a structured sales approach.
  • Experience in lead generation using telesales and digital methods.
  • Proficiency in using a modern CRM system for pipeline and key account management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at executive levels.
  • Strong management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
