Refuse Driver 7.5T (RESORTS) Wareham
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5T Driver to be submitted to the next paid induction in Wareham on 17th June (around 4 hours). The successful candidates should be available start work from Friday 18/6/24.
As a Dorset Council Driver, you will be responsible for transporting waste to various locations. This position requires strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate different types of vehicles.
Responsibilities/What you can expect
- Pay £12.18 per hour
- Standard working pattern: 06:30 - 14:00 (13:30 Friday)
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials
- Load and unload, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Communicate with team members to ensure efficient delivery
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Bank holiday working could be a requirement (1.5x pay increase)
Requirements:
- To be considered for this post you must hold a minimum Category C (7.5T) driving licence, have a current digital tachograph card and evidence of a completed Drivers CPC qualification is essential
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to lift heavy objects and handle physical demands of the job
- High level of attention to detail and safety consciousness
- PPE Mid-sole safety shoes + Hi-Vis vest
- To conform with strict health and safety requirements, the role is subject to random and regular drug testing
