Infrastructure Engineer – 2-week contract – Northampton

My customer requires an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a project that is currently taking place.

This Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the imaging, racking and powering up of 4 new physical servers. You would then need to build 4 virtual servers on top of these physical servers.

The infrastructure Engineer would take over and collaborate with a Software Asset and License manager who will be duplicating licenses that need to be migrated from 1 server to another server.

Primary day to day responsibilities for the Infrastructure Engineer will include:

  • Experienced Windows Server Engineer (Infrastructure Engineer/Server Engineer)
  • Strong experience with Windows Server (2012 - 2022) – imaging new physical dell servers
  • Building Virtual Servers – 4 virtualised nodes
  • Migration of Software licenses from one server to another server (Open LM, Flex LM)
  • Previous projects experience decommissioning and deploying new Windows servers.
  • Any experience with Open LM and Flex LM (Flexera) technologies would be beneficial
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure: Windows Server, migration and configuration
  • Experience working in a demerger environment would be beneficial
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial
  • Outside of IR35

The infrastructure Engineer is required onsite in Northampton for the duration of the 2 week contract.
