Infrastructure DBA
We are currently hiring for an Infrastructure DBA with experience working on Unix Systems(Redhat/ AIX) to join one of our Insurance clients on a 6-month contract.

Hybrid- Travel to the office when required.
Responsibilities::
- Install and configure database software according to organizational needs.
- Set up database parameters, ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks, such as backups, restores, and index rebuilds.
- Monitor database performance and tune configurations as necessary.
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Manage user access to databases, granting permissions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Identify and resolve database issues, such as performance bottlenecks or data corruption.
- Optimize SQL queries and database configurations for improved performance.
- Provide technical support to users and developers.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Generate reports on database performance, usage, and security.
- Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other technical staff to ensure smooth integration of database systems.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- Experience working with Unix systems (RedHat/AIX).
- Experience working with Windows Servers.
- Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server).
- Strong understanding of database design, normalization, and optimization.
- Knowledge of data security practices and principles.
- Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.
- Familiarity with SQL and database programming languages.
- Insurance sector experience
