We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEN school in the Ware area of Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and helping them achieve their educational and personal goals.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide crucial support to students with their learning, development, and progress across all areas of the curriculum, both in the classroom and within the community.
  • Assist young people with a range of needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism.
  • Foster an environment that promotes equality, diversity, and respect for all students as learners.
  • Emphasise support and empowerment of young people to achieve their full potential.
  • Engage with outdoor and community learning as a means to enhance educational experiences.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Special Education issues and embody the values of the school in all aspects of the role.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A willingness to work towards formal qualifications and attend training, with all costs fully funded by the school.
  • A compassionate and passionate approach to working with children and young people with additional needs.
  • Ambition and determination to overcome barriers to learning and see potential in every student.
  • An appreciation for outdoor and community learning as valuable educational tools.
