A Quality Engineer is required to ensure the highest standards of quality are consistently maintained, and to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing floor.

Description
- Maintain and continually improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100, ISO9001, and UKAS requirements
- Enhance the QMS to increase its effectiveness.
- Act as a key auditor of our quality systems to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Rapidly identify the root causes of quality issues and work closely with the production team to implement necessary behavioural, process, and procedural changes to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure that lessons learned from quality issues are acted upon to prevent future occurrences, including modifying processing routes and operating procedures.
- Lead auditing of corrective actions to verify the effectiveness of updated process control documents and ensure that localised training is in place and effective.
- Lead supply chain quality activities and develop an effective audit program, fostering strong working relationships with key suppliers.
- Ensure prompt action on supplier reclaims for poor quality by providing objective evidence of failure modes and support the Purchasing Team during related meetings.
- Actively participate in improvement activities and projects aimed at enhancing product quality and process efficiency.
Profile
A successful Quality Engineer should have:
- Auditor Training with experience in auditing.
- Profound understanding of Quality Management Systems and ISO9001, AS9100, and UKAS requirements
- Effective workload and priority management skills.
- Methodical with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and computer literate
