Hours per week: Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 16:30, 07:30 - 14:30 - 40 hours per week

Position Summary: An excellent opportunity awaits you as you join our team, collaborating with a prestigious client in the rocket manufacturing industry. You will be tasked with assisting with the successful execution of Porterage and handyperson services.

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Porterage Operative to join our passionate and driven Integrated Solutions team based at our client's site in Kidderminster

Key Responsibilities:

The operatives must be trained in manual handling techniques; be aware of general health and safety legislation and be capable of unsupervised works.

Main duties to be carried out will include but not be limited to:

  • Safely escort contractors and visitors around site (once clearances have been granted).
  • Building clearances under direction from Roxel personnel - including where applicable dismantling of equipment / boxes.
  • Waste removal and transport, skip loading into designated areas.
  • Assembly / disassembly & relocations of any office and storage furniture.
  • Set up & break down conference / meeting room facilities as required.
  • Erection & striking of safety fencing (Heras) and barriers around site.
  • The installation / hanging of adhoc and temporary signage.
  • Small grounds maintenance e.g. seasonal clearance; winter gritting; storm detritus clearance etc.
  • Support of Environmental and Sustainability activities e.g. siting and installation of bird/bat boxes.
  • Assisting in keeping outdoor communal areas clean & tidy.
  • Provide a basic caretaking service – e.g. ‘home handyman' skills.
  • Support as required for any Roxel business specific projects, events or adhoc works.
  • Ensuring that all equipment used in the day to day operations of the porterage services is maintained and operational.
  • Responding to requirements for the provision of assistance in the movement of packages and other such items around the site.

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Fork lift training / license would be advantageous.
  • Basic handyman skills
  • Please note should you be successful in this role you will be required to undergo security clearance and successfully pass these checks.
