Finance Director

The Company

An expanding, global business with headquarters in Buckinghamshire, are looking for an experienced Finance Director to join their team in Wooburn Green. An exciting opportunity to join a thriving business who keep going from strength to strength and are a well respected competitor in the market.

The Role

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee all financial aspects of the business and drive the company's overseas financial strategy and planning. You will continuously assess the financial performance of the company, as well as possible risk and investment opportunities. As part of the Senior Leadership team, you'll be responsible for leading the finance team with the aim of guiding the company towards profitability and long term success. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Retain constant awareness of the business's financial position.
  • Set up and over see the finance IT system.
  • Set targets for and manage all accounting and finance personnel.
  • Oversee all audit and internal control operations.
  • Develop the corporate Fundraising strategy and manage relationships with partners and the Employee Ownership Trust board of directors.
  • Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis.

About You

As a director of finance, you should be possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience as a director finance or similar role within a high growth business.
  • Proven experience launching and setting up European or Global entities
  • BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field; MSc/MA would be beneficial.
  • ACA/ACCA/ACMA qualification is essential.
  • Experience of operating in a business with an in-house finance function.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, laws and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Proven leadership and management experience.
  • Proficiency in using financial management software (SAP).

  • £120,000 - £150,000 (DOE)
