Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a
Personal Assistant
to support a Principal Partner within the
Employers' Liability department
- The successful candidate must have prior
legal secretarial experience
, particularly within
personal injury
, and should be proficient in
Microsoft Office
- A strong command of
English spelling, punctuation, and grammar
, along with an
audio typing speed of 65+ words per minute
, is essential. The PA will be expected to be proactive, using a high degree of
self-management
and
initiative
to support the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing correspondence and documents through
audiotyping
and
word processing
- Managing digital filing, including the opening, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files.
- Organising and dispatching correspondence and enclosures.
- Managing the
fee earner's diary
, appointments, and meetings.
- Providing support to other secretaries and the admin team as needed.
- Attending to clients in person and over the phone, ensuring professional and friendly client care.
- Maintaining confidentiality of all client documentation and information.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable
legal secretarial experience
- IT proficiency, especially in
Microsoft Office
- Strong command of
English spelling, punctuation, and grammar
- Excellent word processing and
audio typing skills
(65+ wpm preferred).
- Experience in a
Personal Injury
or
civil litigation
law firm is advantageous.
- Experience working with
Proclaim case management system
is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a
fast-paced
environment, with
strong organisational skills
