About the Role:
Timeplan Education is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Hemel Hempstead. This rewarding role involves supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities, including those with physical disabilities and individuals who may find it difficult to see, hear, speak, or move.

You will work with students across all age ranges, from primary to secondary, in a classroom setting, small groups, or on a 1-to-1 basis. Your role will be crucial in helping students access the curriculum and supporting their personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with learning disabilities & physical disabilities, helping them navigate the challenges of everyday school life.
  • Provide tailored support to individuals or small groups, adapting resources to meet diverse needs.
  • Promote an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Support teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
  • Help students with daily tasks, including communication, mobility, and personal care where required.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has some experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
  • Has experience supporting individuals with physical disabilities.
  • Is compassionate, patient, and eager to make a difference in students' lives.
  • Holds a DBS on the update service or is willing to obtain one.
