Premises Officer
- Pay: £12.39 per hour PAYE
- Location: Leicester
- Job Type: Full-time, 37 hours per week
My client are seeking a dedicated Premises Officer to join their team, providing essential maintenance, security, and cleanliness services across various sites. The role requires flexibility, including the availability to work weekends when necessary.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conduct general maintenance work to ensure services are maintained to a high standard.
- Maintain service assets and resources, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Work flexibly across a service rota from 7 am to 10 pm, including weekends and bank/public holidays as required.
- Develop and maintain local systems, processes, and procedures to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
- Perform routine checks and minor repairs on heating, lighting, plumbing, and other systems.
- Undertake minor building, fixture, furniture, and equipment repairs, reporting any defects as necessary.
- Provide responsive porterage service, adhering to Health and Safety guidelines.
- Liaise with external contractors and ensure Health & Safety compliance.
- Ensure equipment, including assistive technology and manual handling equipment, is in good working order.
- Plan and set up areas within the building for various service requirements.
- Open/close buildings and manage alarm systems as per procedures.
- Conduct portable appliance testing (PAT) and oversee Infection Prevention Control (IPC) procedures.
- Undertake and oversee cleaning duties, including floor scrubbing, buffing, polishing, and outdoor maintenance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel expenses will be paid).
- Enhanced DBS check due to working with vulnerable children and adults.
- Flexibility to work across various sites and outside of standard hours, including weekends.
- Experience in premises maintenance and familiarity with Health & Safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in IT systems for safety checks and hazard management.
- Experience with portable appliance testing (PAT) is desirable.
