Bring your analytical and customer service skills to our Finance Support Assistant role, where you'll enhance accounts payable operations, drive process improvements, and build strong relationships in a dynamic environment.
Role Overview
The purpose of this Finance Support Assistant role is to work closely as part of the Accounts Payable team to ensure delivery of a high service level whilst working within internal compliance and legislation requirements.
You will be an experienced Analyst with accounts payable and/or customer service experience and a track record of delivering a high level of customer care in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Principal Accountabilities
- Ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of accounts payable services, including analysing daily KPIs and effectively managing and prioritising daily workloads to ensure deadlines are met/exceeded for all activities
- Supporting any outsourcing provider to achieve and exceed KPI expectations whilst working within the agreed SLAs
- Performing root cause analysis on complex issues to drive improvement, issuing resolutions in the end-to-end AP Process flow, and escalating issues and queries, if necessary, to management
- Identifying potential process improvements to increase efficiency and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) for the team
- Educating suppliers, business users, and TCs to aid reduction in exceptions and demand on query management
- Co-ordinating and delivering training sessions and/or materials to TCs and the business, and acting as the first point of contact to the business, TCs, and any third-party service providers as a SME (Subject Matter Expert)
- Building successful business relationships at all levels (particularly in Finance and with TCs) to encourage efficiency and understanding
- Providing excellent customer relations, written and verbal, to Suppliers, TCs, and the business
- Working within Travel Counsellor's internal compliance/guidance rules, CARE values, and applicable legislations

Essential Skills
- Prior experience working in an accounts payable or customer service role
- Proficient in the MS Office suite of tools, particularly Excel
- Experience working on Enterprise Planning Tool (ERP) applications
- Ability to analyse data competently from a range of sources, performing root cause analysis (RCA)
