About the Role: As their HR Advisor, you'll play a crucial role in managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with HR policies, and supporting the Headteacher of their Day School and Sixth Form. You'll be part of a dedicated HR team, reporting to the Head of HR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Single Central Register (SCR) and conduct internal audits.
  • Ensure statutory checks for new staff and adherence to safer recruitment principles.
  • Handle HR queries, maintain HR systems, and support sickness absence processes.
  • Oversee pay-related processes and provide HR policy advice.
  • Manage recruitment campaigns, onboarding, and staff induction.
  • Coordinate training, development programs, and performance appraisals.
  • Act as a mediator in employee relations and assist in policy development.

What They are Looking For:

  • CIPD level 5 or higher HR qualifications (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience in a school environment and safer recruitment checks.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
