Job Outline:
A well-established market leader in the design and development of electronic test and measurement equipment is now looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to join their growing team.
Reporting to the MD, you will be responsible for improving existing designs and developing new products to meet customer specifications.
In this exciting new role, you will have broad and varied responsibilities including New Product Development, Test Rig Development, Implementing Designs, and also Technical Applications / Sales Support.
New Product Development will include elements of analogue circuit design, rf theory, control theory, filter design, power electronics and a good understating of magnetics.
Test Rig Development projects have included rf current and high current pulsed current sources, automated test bench for performing frequency response analysis.
Practical implementation of designs will involve you in simulation using tools such as MATLAB and SIMULINK. You should have an aptitude for practical implementation of electronics, from printed circuit layout to mechanical engineering skills such as CAD design.
Technical Application/Sales Support, ensuring custom designed products meet customer requirements, previous projects range from automotive to HVDC. This will often involve direct contact with senior engineering teams from around the world, covering the whole process from capturing requirement specifications to testing the final design.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should have achieved a Bachelors Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, plus ideally a Post Graduate qualification in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
We are seeking a graduate from Electronics / Electrical Engineering with proven experience in Electronics Design, gained in an industrial / commercial environment.
Essential for this role is strong skills in Electronics Design including Analog, Circuits, PCB, Power and RF.
