We are looking for a permanent General Maintenance person for our client based in Staines.
Location: staines
Hours: Monday to Friday 6am - 5pm, plus occassional weekends and an on call rota basis where an extra £75 will be paid plus the hours worked
Salary: £40,000 - £46,000
Role and Responsibilities
- To ensure the plant is maintained and operable and available for work all of the time.
- Help collate and contribute to the vast array of management information required to the Companies contractual and Reporting obligations.
- To be part of a developing maintenance team contributing to the success of the business.
- Assisting to implement and manage a planned preventative maintenance programme & maintenance schedules (PPM)
- Planning maintenance/shut downs/outage works
- Ensure faults are identified and rectified in a timely manner
- Help manage the installation of new machinery & the refurb of existing plant as and when necessary liaising with Suppliers accordingly
- React quickly and accordingly to breakdowns on site
- Liaise with & manage external contractors where necessary
- Prepare detailed schedules of work, feasibility studies and cost estimates;
- Ensuring compliance at all times with company procedures and health & safety legislation
- Liaising with internal management to ensure best practice is maintained
- Carry out daily & weekly site inspections and ensure actions are closed out.
- Ensure legal requirements are adhered to and processes in place for your service area.
- Ensure the Maintenance Manager is aware of all functions, processes, concerns and requirements at all times.
