9 Month contract initially (until end March 2025)

£22.80 per hour PAYE plus holiday

We have an excellent opportunity for a Customer Communications Coordinator to join the team at United Utilities on a 9-month contract initially. As a Customer Communications Coordinator you will support our regular communications to update customers on changes to their water service. You will be responsible for sending these out in a timely and accurate manner through a range of formats such as letters, cards, emails, website messages, social media etc.

Accountabilities

  • Producing the content for letters, email, website, social media and signage, including copywriting and design.
  • Co-ordinating multiple postal mailings and email/texts to customers in different formats to different areas, across a programme of work to a planned schedule
  • Mailing on average 20-30,000 customers per week
  • Liaising and meeting with teams across the business for updates regarding the project
  • Liaising with external contractors (also known as delivery partners)
  • Working with the social media team and updating dedicated project-related web pages
  • Creation of briefing documents for customer facing colleagues on UU internal systems
  • Collating analytic reporting to measure the impact of project communications, including digital and website activity
  • Producing content for and placing orders for site signage
  • Stock replenishment for operational teams, such as banner signage
  • Checking data files are accurate and displaying the correct information
  • Coordinating large volumes of information
  • Link in with customer campaign team to include relevant current key messages
  • Monitoring and evaluation of project-related customer contacts to assist with resolution within agreed timeframes

Knowledge and Skills

  • Communications experience/qualification
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Proof-reading, attention to detail, excellent co-ordination skills, ability to manage multiple mailshots/eshots
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues and suppliers
  • Calm under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Methodical, skilled at writing comms materials in a friendly and warm tone of voice
  • Contentious and level-headed
  • Strong customer focus
  • Some travel will be required

This is a hybrid role working with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office, the base location is Lingley Mere Business Park, Great Sankey, Warrington.
