We are looking for experienced Cabling Engineers based in the Wiltshire area. You will have at least 3 years' experience, ideally on the Openreach PIA network with a working knowledge of underground and overhead.
You will need to be an organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic person. Working closely with Project and Network planning, together with surveying, civils, and rural installation teams to ensure quality and tight timescales are met.
The main duties include but are not limited to:
- Read technical drawings and specification sheets to install sub-duct and fibre optic cable.
- Collection of data and production of as-built information as required.
- Effective Planning to ensure efficient and safe installation within required PIA standards.
- Site survey reports.
- Assisting Service Delivery teams across the company where necessary.
- Liaising with both colleagues and customers; keeping in regular contact with office staff & team leaders.
- Appropriate use of safety equipment and procedures.
- Working within Health and Safety requirements.
The Ideal candidate must possess the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience, ideally on the Openreach PIA network.
- OH & UG Experience.
- Able to work with complex technical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated with good attention to detail.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Relevant PIA accreditations (SA001, SA002, S7, S8).
- NRSWA Accreditation.
- Full UK Driving Licence (No more than 6 points).
