They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join their team and support their ambitious growth plans.

Position Overview:

The Financial Accountant will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of the company. This individual will provide strategic financial guidance, ensure robust financial controls, and support the company's growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in finance, ideally within a private equity-backed environment, and possess strong leadership and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting:
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and financial reporting requirements.

  • Present financial results to senior management and the board of directors.

  1. Strategic Initiatives:
  • Support the development and execution of the company's strategic plans.

  • Evaluate potential investment opportunities and conduct financial due diligence.

  • Work closely with the private equity partners to align financial strategies with business goals.

  1. Operational Finance:
  • Manage cash flow, treasury, and working capital requirements.

  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.

  • Optimize financial systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.

  1. Leadership and Team Development:
  • Lead and mentor a small team of finance professionals.

  • Foster a high-performance culture within the finance department.

  • Ensure continuous professional development of the finance team.

  1. Risk Management:
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks to the business.

  • Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with financial regulations.

  • Monitor and manage financial risks associated with PE investment and financing structures.

Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
