Trade Support Analyst - London Insurer - InsideIR35

The Trade Support Analyst, reporting to Trade Support Manager, will assist the Investment Operations team with post-trade activities. These activities include portfolio on boarding, counterparty maintenance, security data management, asset transfers, cash management, trade confirmation, settlement, query and investigation, corporate actions, custody, and reconciliations. The Investment Operations team works collaboratively with the broader investments team to manage the company's assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Investment Operations team to review and reconcile broker related data and third-party platform connectivity to ensure accurate information and timely delivery of trades with our external partners.
  • Perform start of day cash and position reconciliations.
  • Reconciliation of internal and external portfolios.
  • Portfolio onboarding
  • Trade confirmation, routing, and settlement.
  • Trade query and investigation.
  • Security Data Management.
  • Corporate Actions.
  • Custody, ensuring accurate and timely custody booking, and settlement instructions
  • Collaboration, review, and support of all post-trade activities
  • Working with external vendors and third parties to ensure all post-trade business processes are optimal and adhere to best practices
  • Assist with the review of data quality across investment systems, including external vendors, proprietary databases, and internal trading systems and provide recommendations to the Operations team with regards to updating the data.
  • Assist with internal reporting related to the Investment Business Unit.
  • On an as needed basis, support the compliance function to review compliance notifications and guidelines for the internally and externally managed investment portfolios, to provide timely review and resolution.
  • Document processes and procedures.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Experience with BlackRock Solutions Aladdin and Bloomberg
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in Investment Operations or Middle Office within the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of investments, fixed income markets or fund accounting required.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient with MS Office including excel.
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • A team player who enjoys rolling their sleeves up and helping out.
