In this role, your focus will be on helping our clients to identify and quantify the risks they are exposed to and advising them on the optimal reinsurance strategy to mitigate these risks.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Working with a dynamic team of actuaries, brokers and cat modellers to brainstorm and develop solutions to our clients' problems.
  • Analysing and pricing various alternative reinsurance structures to find the best fit with the client's risk appetite.
  • Communicating your findings and recommendations to both the internal team and to the client to get their feedback.

You will be fully integrated into the client teams, giving you exposure to all aspects of the work we do for clients – including the non-analytical areas.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Highly numerate with minimum of 2 years' experience in (re)insurance pricing, reserving or capital modelling.
  • Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and manipulation. Expert user in Excel and other Microsoft Office products

  • Critical thinking – problem diagnosis and problem solving
  • Creative, innovative and logical thinking, and excellent attention to detail
