My client is a Precision Engineering company based in Witham, Essex and they are looking to appoint a Junior Quality Engineer.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in an engineering environment, with some knowledge of quality processes. This is a Junior position which will develop into a Quality Management role - the successful candidate will ultimately have responsibility for ensuring all quality standards are met across production.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday.
The successful appointee will be:
- Overseeing the company's inspection activities
- Managing defects and repairs
- Maintaining the QMS
- Maintaining the quality manuals
- Be the point of contact for quality queries internally and externally
- Other related duties as required
Experience required:
- Proven experience in precision / mechanical engineering or other similar role
- Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems
- Knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies (desirable)
- Certification of quality control is desirable (ISO 9000 etc.)
