Academics LTD is collaborating with an outstanding SEN school in Maidenhead that offers tailored support for children aged 5 to 18 who have social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school is seeking a compassionate and resilient Autism & Behavioural Support Assistant to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting children with a wide range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, and complex behavioural challenges
- Assisting students with emotional regulation and the development of social skills
- Working closely with SEMH needs and contributing to a calm, supportive learning environment
- Demonstrating an interest in working with children or within the Special Educational Needs (SEN) sector
- Exhibiting resilience, positivity, and a caring attitude in challenging situations
This role is ideal for Psychology or Criminology graduates who want to build their experience working in Mental Health or Education. While previous experience is not essential, qualifications such as a Degree, Level 3 qualifications, or any relevant work with SEN children are valued.

Position Details:
- Role: Autism & Behavioural Support Assistant
- Location: Maidenhead
- Salary: £83 - £95 per day (based on experience, qualifications, and training)
- Contract: Long-term temporary with the potential for a permanent role
- Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 am - 3:30 pm)
- Experience: Preferred but not essential
