Business Function

Group finance provides a shared service to the Group for all locations/divisions. Teams include Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Accounting, Audit, FP&A and Master Data.

Role Summary

Manage the end to end process of turning contracts into revenue, looking after a stable of Clients, associated contracts, budgets and financials, billing and act as a point of contact for client revenue operational matters

Core Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintain Client records including contracts/agreements, budgets, all master data, billing data, contact information
  • Liaise with New Business, Commercial Finance and Client Relationship Leads on new contracts, renewals and statements of work, providing advice and making appropriate recommendations. Ensuring documentation and fee schedules are standard, clear and accurate and therefore appropriate for billing
  • Provide Clients with costings, budgetary estimates and other finance and billing queries as required
  • Construct, process and issue Client invoices by obtaining and using relevant data and fee information, standard templates, validation methods and in line with contracts
  • Review client disbursements statements at each quarter, checking against contract for chargeability and highlight variations
  • Ensure invoices are processed and issued in a timely manner, and any issues or delays are recorded and escalated as required
  • Request purchase orders from clients and track invoices against them
  • Ensure Trackers are kept up to date, to ensure real time data is always available
  • Secondary Validation Checks for fellow team members' invoices in Workflow
  • Cover for fellow team members as required (including Process Improvement Team)
  • Liaise with Offshore OTC Team where involved in BAU billing processes

Skills, qualifications, knowledge and mobility.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours and able to fulfil the mobility requirements of the role:

  • Proven experience in Financial processing including some basic accounting knowledge
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • A familiarity with large ERP systems (desirable but not essential)
  • Attention to detail, but with an ability to work efficiently in a high pressure environment
  • Able to work to SLAs and deadlines effectively
  • Confident and enthusiastic with regards to managing performance and goals
