The successful candidate will support the Assistant Director SEND in service transformation and a range of strategic activities.
They will manage the casework teams, the assessment team and the administration function of the service, alongside overseeing tribunals, complaints and Members Enquiries for the SEND Team. The Head of Service will take operational responsibility for the day-to-day management of the SEND Team.
To support the Assistant Director for SEND in a range of strategic and operational activities including the transformation of SEND services.
To take operational responsibility for the day-to-day management of the SEND Service, ensuring the delivery of safe, high quality, cost effective and timely support to children, young people and families.
To provide overall leadership and management of assessment, planning and support for children with special educational needs, including the statutory Education, Health and Care assessment process (including Annual Reviews) and its quality assurance so that all statutory requirements are met and plans clearly support progress and positive outcomes
