Cloud FinOps Specialist

SWINDON
This role is with a well-established, Telecom giant who are migrating over to the Public Cloud. They are seeking a Cloud FinOps Specialist who will work closely with Engineering teams to ensure they are leveraging the cloud's ability.
THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will join a small, FinOps Squad and collaborate with a range of stakeholders to achieve the following:
- Building and forecasting plans on public cloud consumption.
- Keeping the business updated with the latest Google services and promoting usage across the technical team.
- Checking GCP spend and implementing optimisation opportunities.
- Improving financial processes and providing reporting to key stakeholders.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- FinOps certified.
- Commercial experience using SQL to query data.
- Experience with ETL pipeline setup.
- Previous experience managing GCP services including DataFlow, Vertex Ai, Cloud Functions etc.
- Strong stakeholder management experience and communication skills.
THE BENEFITS:
The selected candidate will receive a salary between £60,000 - £70,000 depending on their experience and requirements.
