We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant educational community at a comprehensive school situated in the RCT area. You will be supporting pupils with additional learning needs, encouraging their engagement in lessons to boost their confidence, capabilities and development. Position: Teaching Assistant Location: Treorchy Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Salary: £12.82 per hour Contract: Full Time and Supply Positions Available
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in delivering educational material
- Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources
- Provide individual support to students with diverse learning needs
- Encourage student engagement in the classroom
- Monitor and report on student progress
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in school meetings and professional development sessions
Requirements:
- Experience in a classroom or teaching assistant environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to the education and well-being of all students
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
