Housing Services Manager - Central London

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Housing Services Manager to join our client's organisation. As the Housing Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of their housing services department.

ROLE: Housing Services Manager

SALARY: £43,000 - £47,000 (Depending on Experience)

CONTRACT: 18 Month's (FTC) with potential to extend

KEY AREA'S: Housing Management, Allocations/Lettings, Safeguarding, Fraud Prevention, Member Engagement and Office Admin.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the housing services department and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
  • Providing up-to-date information on transfers, mutual exchanges, and other housing options, such as swaps and mobility schemes to the ASC and MC as required.
  • Coordinating with the Maintenance Manager to address tenant repairs, gas safety checks, and other maintenance requests promptly and effectively.
  • Develop and implement housing management strategies to optimise occupancy rates and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of housing services.
  • Collaborate with external partners, stakeholders, and contractors to facilitate the provision of quality housing services.
  • Promoting a Safe Environment: Upholding and actively promoting safeguarding policies and procedures and ensuring the safety and well-being of all members, particularly vulnerable individuals in line with confidentiality procedures/policies and GDPR.
  • Monitor and analyse housing market trends, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing appropriate strategies.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure that housing services meet established standards.
  • Prepare and present reports on housing services performance, including key metrics, to senior management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practises in housing management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar housing management role, with a comprehensive understanding of housing services and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing housing management strategies to improve service delivery.
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite and property management software.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from £43,000 to £48,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, our client offers a standard pension scheme and a training loan budget. They review additional perks on an ad hoc basis, prioritising staff needs and requests.

This is an 18-month fixed-term contract position with the potential for extension based on organisational needs.
