Job Description: As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger function and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes. Responsibilities: -
- Process purchase invoices and credit notes accurately and timely.
- Reconcile supplier statements to ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare payment runs and ensure suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed terms.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor details and account records.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and reporting.
- Handle queries related to accounts payable both internally and from suppliers.
- Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- AAT qualification or currently studying towards AAT is desirable but not essential.
