Behaviour Mentor - SEMH Schools - Croydon & Sutton Boroughs - Full-time - ASAP Start

Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join dynamic SEMH schools located in the Croydon and Sutton boroughs. This challenging yet rewarding role is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering a daily rate of £75 - £100 (depending on experience).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with students exhibiting challenging behaviour in a secondary special school setting.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, building trust and rapport to encourage their personal and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement personalized intervention plans.
  • Utilize strong behaviour management skills to create a calm, supportive atmosphere within the school.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience working with young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
  • Completion of manual handling training is essential.
  • Strong behaviour management skills with a patient and understanding approach.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
