Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: West Bromwich, West Midlands.
Salary / Benefits £24k - £27k + Training + Benefits
A UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy with a national presence are now seeking to take on a BOHS P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their West Midlands office. The successful candidate will have experience working in a UKAS accredited lab, using PLM and stereo microscopy to analyse asbestos samples in line with HSG 248 guidelines. This role would suit someone looking to join a continuously expanding company, who can provide a competitive salary package, life insurance and bonus schemes.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: Birmingham, Halesowen, Marston Green, Solihull, Stourbridge, Dudley, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Edgbaston.
Experience & Qualifications:
" Will hold the BOHS P401.
" Experience working in a UKAS accreted Asbestos Consultancy within the laboratory.
" Well versed in HSG 248 guidelines.
" Excellent organisational skills.
" Able to professionally communicate with clients and colleagues.
" Keen eye for detail.
" Good IT skills, familiar with filling out job sheets.
The Role:
" Working in a UKAS accredited asbestos laboratory, carrying out bulk asbestos sampling using PLM and stereo microscopy.
" Receiving asbestos samples into the lab, labelling correctly and storing safely.
" Ensuring to maintain the companies UKAS accreditation.
" Completing job sheets accurately upon completion of sample analysis.
" Updating and maintaining internal systems.
" Calibrating equipment, ensuring to keep the laboratory tidy.
" Assisting and maintaining in the company's quality control systems.
" Working in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
" Communicating and providing support to clients, providing technical support when required.
