**Behaviour Mentor – Secondary Schools in Lewisham (September Start)

Milk Education is partnering with several supportive and inclusive secondary schools in Lewisham to recruit committed and confident Behaviour Mentors for September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity ideal for someone with experience supporting young people and a passion for improving behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement in education.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who have worked in schools, youth work, sports coaching, alternative provisions, or mentoring roles, and are keen to make a real impact in the lives of young people.

Location: Lewisham, South East London
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday, term time only)
Contract: Ongoing long-term positions with potential for progression

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Work 1:1 and with small groups to support students with challenging behaviour
  • Help pupils regulate emotions and re-engage with learning in and out of class
  • Deliver behaviour-focused interventions and support strategies
  • Act as a positive role model and build trust with students
  • Collaborate closely with pastoral teams, SEN staff, and teaching staff
  • Help create a calm, safe, and structured school environment

**What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational, youth work or mentoring setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills and confidence in handling challenging situations
  • A calm, resilient, and patient approach to supporting young people
  • The ability to build rapport and motivate students from diverse backgrounds
  • A genuine commitment to inclusion, pupil wellbeing, and educational progress
