Butler Rose's client, a well-regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Cambridge, is seeking an ambitious and dedicated Trainee or Semi-Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse client base and to further develop your career within a supportive, professional environment.

Role Requirements

  • Support a varied client portfolio, including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, across different industries.
  • Prepare Year-End financial statements in line with FRS102-1A and FRS105 standards.
  • Conduct computations for corporation tax returns (CT600) and submit them to HMRC.
  • Prepare and submit personal tax returns (SA100) for self-employed individuals and high-net-worth clients.
  • Produce quarterly VAT returns and submit them to HMRC.
  • Utilise cloud-based software to support clients accounting needs.

Personal Requirements

  • Ideally AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA, with 2-4 years of experience in a small practice.
  • Practical experience in accounts preparation, VAT returns, and potentially personal tax work, with any audit exposure being a bonus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with both clients and internal team members.
  • A track record indicating a commitment to longer-term roles.
