Learning Supervisor

As a Learning Supervisor, you will supervise students when their regular teacher is absent, ensuring they complete assigned work and maintaining discipline in the classroom. You will not teach new material but manage classroom behaviour and provide basic support to students as needed. Your role will involve overseeing multiple subjects and age groups, working closely with other staff, and handling administrative tasks like taking attendance and reporting incidents.

This role gives you the flexibility to work around your own schedule and take on work as and when you are available. This is a great opportunity to increase your exposure to secondary schools across Hertfordshire and gain valuable experience.

The Role - Hertfordshire

As a Learning Supervisor, you will be filling the gap of absent teachers within a school and covering lessons of all subjects. These lessons will be pre planned and you will have to be able to follow the plan. You should be degree qualified or have the experience working as a Learning Supervisor in a previous role.

Must have:

  • Degree educated or previous experience working as a Learning Supervisor
  • Confident in your ability to lead a class up to 30 students
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Good behaviour management strategies to ensure students are working in a constructive learning environment
  • Can do attitude

Desirable:

  • Previous work experience working in a secondary school setting
