Tax Consultant - PE

Stanton House is recruiting an Interim Tax Consultant supporting international tax operations. This is a 3 to 6 month position. You'll ensure compliance with international tax laws, lead tax planning, manage transfer pricing, and advise on the tax implications of business operations. This strategic role will see you collaborating with various teams, managing tax risks, and providing leadership within the Finance division.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Tax Compliance & Reporting:
  • Oversee preparation and submission of tax returns for all entities, ensuring global tax compliance.

  • Manage quarterly and annual tax reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate submissions.

  1. Tax Planning & Strategy:
  • Develop and execute tax strategies to optimise the groups tax position across jurisdictions.

  • Provide advice on the tax impact of business decisions, restructurings, and new projects.

  • Stay updated on changing tax laws and assess their impact on the company.

  1. Transfer Pricing:
  • Manage transfer pricing policies and ensure compliance with OECD guidelines.

  • Handle transfer pricing audits and disputes with expert guidance.

  1. Risk Management:
  • Identify tax risks and implement measures to minimize exposure.

  • Lead tax audits and liaise with tax authorities globally.

  1. Advisory & Collaboration:
  • Provide strategic tax advice to business units and senior leadership on projects and transactions.

  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure tax considerations are part of business decisions.

  1. Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals.

  • Provide training and tax updates to finance and business teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent with extensive post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience managing tax operations for a multinational, preferably within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of international tax laws and transfer pricing.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing tax audits and external relationships.
  • Proficiency in tax software and financial systems.
