Remote Paraplanner

Position: Paraplanner

Location: Home Based/Remote

Salary: Upto £40,000 per annum, plus benefits (subject to experience)

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Paraplanner, reporting to the Paraplanning Team Leader. The Paraplanner is responsible for assessing client's requirements and researching, identifying and presenting solutions in support of Adviser recommendations. Carrying out financial analysis and producing reports and recommendations as well as ensuring all regulatory and compliance standards are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Be able to support the financial adviser by ensuring you are provided with sufficient information about the client, to enable you to understand their goals, financial needs, and objectives.
  • Be able to confirm the client's goals, financial needs and objectives, attitude to risk and capacity for loss as well as the suitability of their existing financial arrangements.
  • Be able to identify where information appears to be missing and/or inconclusive and can identify what further information you require; whilst always remaining vigilant to the possibilities of financial crime.
  • Be able to prioritise areas for research, in line with the client's goals, financial needs and objectives.
  • Can undertake research and analysis of applicable products and services that are appropriate to the client's financial circumstances.
  • Be able to prepare suitability reports through a variety of different media to support the data gathering, research, analysis, and the formation of the report.
  • Be able to obtain appropriate product illustrations, key features documents, and provide accurate application, and supporting disclosure and compliance paperwork in accordance with the recommendation(s) being made.
  • Be able to accurately complete online applications/proposals, with the client's authority, and agree with the financial adviser if there are any further actions required to undertake and implement financial strategy.
  • Be able to support the ongoing relationship with the financial adviser and their client's, by delivering a consistent, smooth, and reliable services.
  • Be able to identify ways to improve the client's experience, and deal with compliance related requests.
  • Ensure the new business checklist is used during every case to produce a compliant file.
  • Ensure all documents are uploaded to the paraplanners area on SharePoint and to the client's file while working on a case and not saved locally.
  • New business handover sheet completed when Suitability Report is sent to adviser for checking.
  • Report any breach to the compliance manager as soon as you become aware of the data breach.
  • Co-operate fully with the complaints manager with any complaints from clients.
  • Provide additional support to other paraplanning teams, as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Financial Services experience is essential, within a Paraplanning capacity.

Sound product knowledge.

Understanding of FCA regulations and guidelines relating to financial services clients.

Qualified to Level 4 Diploma status.

Working knowledge of Xplan would be advantageous.
