Business Development Manager - England

The main purpose of the role is to:

Contribute to the management and sales support offered to our existing customer base and to developing relationships with new and prospective customers.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate customer's needs, recommend optimum machinery to support their aims and objectives, thus building productive and long-lasting relationships.
  • Schedule meetings with customers, travelling to visit customers, research accounts, generate leads, follow a structured sales process and report on the outcomes of this.
  • Participating in trade shows and other marketing events.
  • Attend meetings and training to keep abreast of the latest developments.
  • Report and provide feedback to management on a weekly basis.
  • Inputting activities and managing your workload through the business CRM system.
  • The role will involve travel and regular short overnights away from home.

Key skills, knowledge & experience:

  • Must hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Must have a valid passport for occasional travel to international suppliers.
  • Be a self-motivated and confident individual, willing to work independently but be part of a team, hold good communication skills, work to a high standard and be able to work to timescales as required.
  • Experience or interest in arboriculture/forestry/agricultural sales would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Passionate about giving your customers a great service.
  • Possess excellent organisational skills, be resourceful and solution driven.
  • High standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
