Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to fulfil a full time position based within Basingstoke.
The school is a small primary school located within the heard of Basingstoke, where they ensure that the support of young people within the school are provided with both academic and practical opportunities combined to provide the best form of development to each individual. They strive for every child to achieve their personal and academic best, and encourage each individual at the school to treat each other as they would like to be treated.
As the Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for the assistance of both pupils and class teacher, working one-to-one or with a small group of pupils, supporting them with their learning. You will aid the Class Teacher in supporting the delivery of the lesson content, whilst adapting your support methods to best suit the individual needs of the pupils. You will contribute to creating a positive learning environment and often help with displays and classroom organisation.
The salary for this role is currently set at £12.82 to £14 per hour depending on experience.
For this role, you will be/will need:
- Experience as a Learning Support Assistant preferred, and SEN experience is desired
- Passion for working with children and keen to help where needed
- Right to work in the UK
