Search Recruitment are partnering with an established and growing business to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on a 12 month fixed term basis in Stirling, with hybrid working. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will assist in the financial month & year-end processes and the development of new systems. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting month-end processes and reporting and adherence to deadlines.
- Assisting with year-end procedures and tasks as required.
- Assisting with the review of balance sheet items.
- Analysing individual project revenue and cost performance.
- Updating statutory returns as required.
- Assisting with monthly VAT returns.
- Working across all finance department functions to meet deadlines.
- Documenting financial procedures and practices.
- Contributing to process improvement.
- Supporting Accounts Assistants and providing guidance when needed.
- Ad hoc support as required.
Skills and experience you'll ideally have:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
- Highly focused and organised.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of business.
- Ability to work to deadlines and cope under pressure.
- A team player.
- Demonstrably able to take initiative.
