Exciting Opportunity for a Second in Charge of MFL in Hackney!
Are you a passionate and dynamic Second in Charge of MFL looking to inspire and lead? We are seeking an enthusiastic Second in Charge of MFL to join our vibrant secondary school in Hackney. This is a fantastic chance to make a significant impact in the Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department and to foster a love for languages among our students.
Second in Charge of MFL Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of MFL in managing the MFL department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement engaging and creative MFL curriculum and lesson plans.
- Teach Spanish across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (up to A Level).
- Mentor and support MFL teachers, fostering professional development and sharing best practices.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to promote growth.
- Collaborate with other department heads and school leadership to enhance the overall educational experience.
Second in Charge of MFL Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching MFL, particularly Spanish, at the secondary level.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for languages and the ability to bring creativity into the classroom.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
This role is not suitable for ECTs (NQTs). Candidates must be able to teach Spanish up to A Level.
