ROLE- Graduate/Junior Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION- Lincoln, Lincolnshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £25,000- £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Premier Engineering are looking for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join a Lincoln based Engineering company working in the Design team. This is an exciting opportunity with lots of training and great room for progression. Autumn 2024 start date.
The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Degree qualified/ Apprenticeship qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Proficient CAD Skills – AutoCAD and Solidworks (Essential)
- A sound understanding of Engineering
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Experience of working with a range of manufacturing processes. Experience with sheet metal is preferred (although training is provided)
- Any experience of working during your course with a variety of materials and processes including machining, injection moulding, sheet metal and casting.
- Ideally, you will have some experience working in shop floor roles within manufacturing (Experience with CNC Machines advantageous)
- Able to work well individually as well as within a team
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
The Graduate Mechanical Engineer role will involve:
- Dealing with customers on a technical level

- Working to budgets and project timings
- Investigating new product lines and areas within which the company can expand/Research and development
- Being involved in different manufacturing processes and with a range of materials
