Integration Manager (Operations Manager - M&A Integration)
Location: UK London based (50% travel/provincial visits)
Salary: £60,000-£80,000 (DOE)
Hours: Full-time, permanent
Role Overview
Our client is seeking a seasoned Integration Manager to drive post-acquisition integration initiatives across its UK network. You will act as the operational glue, ensuring that newly acquired teams, systems and processes are successfully merged into the parent business—delivering on promised synergies, protecting value and maintaining employee engagement throughout the transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Own end-to-end integration projects (client migrations, process harmonisation, data consolidation, office and lease consolidations, service line alignment).
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between acquiring executives, acquired business leaders and functional teams to align on deliverables, timelines and risk mitigation.
- Operational Excellence: Design and implement standardised workflows, policies and performance dashboards to ensure seamless hand-over and ongoing operational efficiency.
- Change Management: Develop and execute change-management plans, including communications, training and governance to maximise adoption and minimise resistance.
- Financial Control: Monitor integration budgets, track cost-savings and revenue synergies, report against financial targets and adjust plans as needed.
- Team Development: Mentor and coach integration leads and local operations teams, promoting best practices and building internal capability for future integrations.
- Risk & Compliance: Maintain an integration risk register, escalate issues proactively, and ensure all legal, regulatory and contractual obligations are met.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 3-5 years in operational leadership or consulting roles, ideally with direct M&A integration or large-scale transformation exposure.
- Analytical & Structured: Highly organised, with experience using project-management tools, strong financial acumen and the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Collaborative Communicator: Exceptional at building credibility at all levels—from C-suite to line-staff—through clear, persuasive communication and active listening.
- Hands-On Problem Solver: Comfortable diving into detailed operational challenges and unblocking issues directly—no task is too small.
- Adaptable & Resilient: Thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and adapts priorities as business needs evolve.
- Travel Ready: Willingness to spend extended periods on-site (up to 50% travel) to embed processes and drive change.
What's On Offer
- Competitive Package: £60-80K base, plus performance-related bonus potential.
- Career Progression: A strategic role visible to senior leadership and critical for future growth—ideal for stepping into broader COO/Operations Director positions.
- Learning & Development: Access to industry best-practice frameworks, external training and mentorship from seasoned operators.
- Collaborative Culture: Join a supportive team that values integrity, agility and continuous improvement.
