Our client, a growing manufacturing company with a global footprint, is looking for an accomplished Financial Controller to join their team in Manchester. About the Role:

As the Financial Controller, you will be pivotal in managing the company's financial operations, reporting directly to the CFO. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee the day-to-day running of the finance function, manage cashflow, handle multi-currency operations, and ensure the business meets all financial and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will be a key business partner to senior management, providing financial insights that will drive strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a high-performing finance team.
  • Managing all aspects of the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Overseeing cashflow management and treasury activities to optimise the company's financial performance.
  • Handling multi-currency financial operations in line with the company's international growth.
  • Partnering with senior leaders across the business to support key strategic initiatives.
  • Liaising with external auditors to ensure full compliance with all financial regulations.

About You:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience as a Financial Controller within a manufacturing environment. You will have a proven track record of leading finance teams, managing cashflow, and dealing with the complexities of multi-currency operations. Your ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and your strategic thinking will be crucial to your success in this role.
