About the Company:
Our client is a market-leading Commercial Fit-Out contractor who have been growing exponentially but sustainably and specialize in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke items of furniture and the specialist joinery requirements of new/upgraded commercial buildings.
About the role
- Working alongside the Senior Management and projects teams to ensure that Ad-hoc paperwork and any administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Methodical approach to all enquiries, ensuring all pre-sales work is documented, logged, filed, reviewed and set up correctly in the system.
- Learn how to prepare efficient and accurate interpretation of project requirements that in turn provides efficient and accurate costings / quotes.
- Learn how to obtain all supplier quotations, lead times, payment terms and technical information for any procured items in a timely fashion.
- Learn how to compile a tailored initial quotation to suit that particular project / client. Exceed the clients? expectations in terms of a can-do attitude, providing options and alternative solutions where required. Work with senior team members to apply knowledge to ensure alternative design proposals can be offered if a client requires.
- Ensure you are always available to assist the client and the Project Manager with any extras, additions, variations and future works which need estimating.
- Attending client meetings alongside Sales team and take meeting minutes, always maintaining a smart and professional appearance. Responsible for presenting samples, and recording feedback, helping with meeting food / drinks / clearing away etc.
- Longer term goals available to the right team member as the company grows and further opportunities arise.
About the Candidate
- Strong communication liaising with clients, suppliers and various internal departments within the company.
- Essential ability to be forward thinking, at times making important decisions and juggling various tight deadlines whilst maintaining professionalism and managing own time effectively
- General understanding of construction, with a basic ability to read a drawing and extract relevant information, when often the information provided can be vague. This is to build up an understanding of the company and gain awareness of the business from the start of a project?s life.
- Eagerness to learn about our valuable suppliers and contacts, to build and maintain good relationships with the extended supply chain team.
- An open-minded approach and drive to be a team player within a fast past working environment.
