Technical Project Manager - EWI

SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe with strong positions in its core markets as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and as a merchant of roofing and exteriors products.

We are currently looking to recruit a Technical Project Manager to specialise in EWI (external wall insulation), who will assist SIG as we look to increase sales with contractors through existing Trading Agreements and relationships with National Main contractors across the UK.

What does the role involve?

As Technical Project Manager, you will be expected to work with our preferred Suppliers and follow up on specifications and projects, from Main Contractor to Sub Contractor. You will take the lead in engaging and developing regional, design-led relationships with main contractor offices and identifying, developing and managing relationships with regional contractors at all levels, to make SIG the solution and product supplier of choice with regional contractors.

The successful candidate will require:

  • Experience within the construction industry, with a proven track record in delivering results and financial targets
  • Strong decision-making ability and successful sales management experience, with in depth knowledge and an understanding of and effective sales function and best practices
  • Excellent business, commercial and financial acumen, with a pragmatic approach
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, with strategic thinking, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Advanced IT Skills, especially in MS Excel
