The Role

With new projects across 2024 lined up, we are seeking out a Data Architect/Data Modeler to join our team of consultants; if you have a knack for analysing complex data ecosystems, designing and building flexible, reusable data models, and thrive in a consultancy environment, then this role is tailor-made for you.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Create mind-blowing ETL connectivity and data flow diagrams that will make heads spin
- Analyse complex, disparate source systems in order to inform high-quality data architecture proposals

  • Designing and building data models, including definition of often complex business logic, whilst considering sustainability and control.
  • Consideration of a vast variety of use cases against data models, focusing on high value to the client- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimise data management solutions- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously enhance our data architecture

We want you to bring your own personality and approach to the role, but to truly succeed and flourish you'll also need:

  • a proven track record in data modelling: conceptual, logical and physical.
  • be data literate; able to design and build data layers and solutions using SQL across multiple platforms
  • extensive experience working with large, complex datasets
  • strong industry knowledge within data architecture and data design
  • proven experience in data system design covering ingestion, staging layer design, conformed layer design and a distinct appreciation for data exploitation.
  • strong inclination and experience of all aspects of Data Management: MDM, Metadata management, Cataloguing and Data Quality Management
  • a consultant mindset or previous success within a consultancy environment
  • excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and cast spells of understanding
  • highly adaptable across multiple toolsets and / or part of the data ecosystem
  • a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating data masterpieces

The "Nice to Have's" for us are:

  • a Business Analysis lean, with the ability to source and structure detailed requirements.
  • familiarity with cutting-edge data visualization tools that will make data come alive.
  • a sense of humour to keep the office banter lively and entertaining.

The Desirable Tools, Systems & Platforms you may have used are:

Experience with / knowledge of:

  • AWS
  • Azure
  • GCP
  • Snowflake
