Internal Business Development Manager Role
This role is essential in driving business growth by developing and managing relationships with intermediaries across a designated region.
You will work closely with a field-based Business Development Manager (BDM) to achieve regional sales targets, with a particular focus on promoting Buy to Let (BTL) and Bridging finance products. Your key responsibility will be to engage with new, existing, and lapsed intermediaries, ensuring high levels of account management and service.

Internal Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with intermediaries
  • Gain and maintain expert knowledge of the company's BTL and Bridging finance products
  • Work in tandem with the regional field BDM to optimise sales opportunities
  • Actively engage with new, existing, and lapsed intermediaries through regular telephone contact
  • Assess incoming enquiries, generate terms, and convert them into applications within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring a smooth sales process.
  • Keep the CRM system up to date with accurate records of all interactions
  • Stay informed about the company's products, competitor offerings, and market trends.
  • Assist the field BDM with intermediary management while they are on the road

  • Salary £35k
  • OTE £55k

Internal Business Development Manager Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong telephone communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly and persuasively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries and internal teams.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks, ensuring all SLAs are consistently met.
  • Confidence in pursuing leads, overcoming objections, and effectively closing deals.
  • Excellent listening and influencing skills, focused on delivering outstanding customer service.

Internal Business Development Manager Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a sales role, preferably within financial services or specialist lending.
  • Familiarity with bridging finance and/or buy-to-let finance is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with CRM systems, particularly Hubspot, is an advantage.
