My client are seeking an experienced Roofer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various roofing techniques and be committed to providing a professional, efficient, and cost-effective repairs and maintenance service. This role requires compliance with health and safety policies and legislation, and the ability to work as part of a team to deliver high-quality work across a range of properties and social spaces.
Day to Day of the role:
- Carry out specific trade work as instructed, including polymer repairs, felting, pitched roof repairs, tiles, and slates.
- Assess, plan, and organise workload to maximise productive time and ensure a customer-focused service.
- Complete all work required to an excellent standard in a single visit through multi-trade activity/extended skills.
- Undertake essential reinstatement work to ensure premises are left secure, safe, and weather-tight.
- Confirm customer satisfaction with the extent and quality of work undertaken upon completion.
- Provide regular updates and information to team leaders and other colleagues to assist with ordering materials and planning and scheduling work.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and ensure the safe disposal and removal of equipment and components.
- Drive a vehicle as required by the service, complying with all relevant safety legislation and council policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in roofing, including polymer repairs, felting, pitched roof repairs, tiles, and slates.
- PASMA trained and TETRA training.
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to undertake multi-skilling in trades outside of core skills.
- NVQ level 3 Diploma or equivalent in the relevant trade.
- Blue Craft CSCS Card or the capacity and willingness to obtain one prior to starting employment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
