My client are seeking an experienced Roofer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various roofing techniques and be committed to providing a professional, efficient, and cost-effective repairs and maintenance service. This role requires compliance with health and safety policies and legislation, and the ability to work as part of a team to deliver high-quality work across a range of properties and social spaces.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Carry out specific trade work as instructed, including polymer repairs, felting, pitched roof repairs, tiles, and slates.
  • Assess, plan, and organise workload to maximise productive time and ensure a customer-focused service.
  • Complete all work required to an excellent standard in a single visit through multi-trade activity/extended skills.
  • Undertake essential reinstatement work to ensure premises are left secure, safe, and weather-tight.
  • Confirm customer satisfaction with the extent and quality of work undertaken upon completion.
  • Provide regular updates and information to team leaders and other colleagues to assist with ordering materials and planning and scheduling work.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used and ensure the safe disposal and removal of equipment and components.
  • Drive a vehicle as required by the service, complying with all relevant safety legislation and council policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in roofing, including polymer repairs, felting, pitched roof repairs, tiles, and slates.
  • PASMA trained and TETRA training.
  • Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to undertake multi-skilling in trades outside of core skills.
  • NVQ level 3 Diploma or equivalent in the relevant trade.
  • Blue Craft CSCS Card or the capacity and willingness to obtain one prior to starting employment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
